One Student on an iPad

First, make sure you have the Seesaw "Class" app installed on the iPad - this is not the same as the Seesaw Family app.

The SeeSaw "Class" app allows for additional functionality that the website version of the app does not do for the students and the teachers. You can search the app store on your own or use this link:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/seesaw-multimedia-journal/id930565184?ls=1

Open the browser and go to our Clever Portal www.clever.com/in/ucfportal and choose "Log in with Google" (you can also install the "Clever" app to log in).

Use your child's UCF account to log in. Student login information was emailed to parents. If you need your child's account info, contact the Technology Helpdesk.

Once you are in Clever, click on "Seesaw." This should launch the Seesaw app on the iPad.

Setup Google Accounts in Safari

If using a shared iPad with multiple students, create all the google accounts first in Safari before you log in to Clever. Each student's google account is their school email address and password.

Open the Safari browser on the iPad. Enter the URL mail.google.com and enter the student's school email address and password to set up the google account. If you get the "Choose an Account" screen, then pick Use another account to set the student up. No email will open up. Only the message that you do not have access will appear and that is okay. Once that has been entered, click on the avatar circle and select Sign Out.

The "Choose an Account" screen should appear. For any additional students to set up, pick Use another account. Enter the next student's school email address and password to set up the google account. No email will open up. Only the message that you do not have access will appear and that is okay.  Once that has been entered, click on the avatar circle and sign out. Continue to repeat these step if 3 or more students are sharing the iPad

Using Clever

Once the google accounts have been set up for all the students sharing the iPad, it is time to test the Clever login process.

Open the Safari browser if needed and enter the Clever Portal link  www.clever.com/in/ ucfportal and choose "Log in with Google"   You can also install the "Clever" app to log in from the app store later or you can save the ucfportal link in Safari as a favorite or a bookmark.

Since the google accounts were set up previously, you will get the "Choose an Account" screen.  The student will select their UCF account to log in.

Once you are in Clever, click on "Seesaw." This should launch the Seesaw app on the iPad with no additional prompt to enter a login or password.   If you receive an error with Seesaw, like Sign-In, just close the SeeSaw app and try again.

Once each student finished using SeeSaw or Clever,  the student can just close the SeeSaw app and close the Safari Browser.
